All live sessions between 6 and 8 December 2022 will take place in Western European Time WET (CET +1, GMT +0).

  • Tuesday, 6 December to Thursday, 8 December: 08:30-16:30 WET
  • Satellite Symposia: Tuesday 6 December to Thursday 8 December: 12:30-13:30 and 17:30 to 19:30

All sessions at the IDF World Diabetes Congress 2022 will be in English without simultaneous translation.

IDF World Diabetes Congress 2022 is anticipating receiving 25 CME credits from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).

Participants may only claim credits for the number of hours watched during the online Congress (6-8 December 2022). Credits may not be claimed for sessions viewed on-demand after the Congress.

Participants will be able to download their CME Certificate in the “My CME Certificate” section of the virtual platform. The certificate will be generated after completion of a mandatory evaluation form.

CME certificates can be downloaded as of 9 December from the delegates’ congress profiles or the congress virtual platform after having completed a congress survey.

Registered participants will be able to download their certificate of attendance through the virtual platform at the end of the Congress.

The oral poster presentations will take place at the e-poster terminals in Pavilion 1 at 12.30-13.30 from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 December.

The fully searchable scientific programme is available online and will be uploaded to the IDF 2022 virtual congress platform on 28 November 2022.

The programme will also be available in the IDF 2022 app.

IDF no longer prints the Programme Book to reduce waste.

The IDF World Diabetes Congress 2022 will not provide airport transfers or shuttle services between hotels and the congress venue.

Yes, the access details will be provided on the reverse of the delegate badge.

  • Full access to all sessions and satellite symposia streamed live during the congress and view-on-demand for 30 days following the congress.
  • Full access to the e-poster gallery for up to 12 months following the congress. Posters can be browsed by keyword and authors can be contacted through the messaging system.
  • Access to live Q&A with delegates and speakers.
  • A CME certificate upon completion of the evaluation form provided. Credits awarded are based on the hours of sessions watched.

No, we do not offer partial online registration. The registration fee will give you access to the full duration of the virtual part of the congress from 6 to 8 December 2022 and for 30 days post-congress.

All registered participants will be able to view recordings of all Congress sessions on-demand for a period of 30 days following the event.

Registration name changes are possible and must be made in writing by email. No changes by telephone will be accepted. An administrative fee of 50 EUR will be charged per participant. The substitute participant does not need to submit a new registration form. For more information, view the General Terms & Conditions on our registration page.

Group registration closes on 14 November 2022, 23:59 CEST. Individual registrations stay open until Thursday, 8 December 2022. Payment after 14 November is with credit card only.

Registered participants will receive an email one week before the start of the Congress containing their login credentials to access the virtual platform.

Most IDF scientific sessions will be live-streamed and can be watched live or on view-on-demand on the virtual congress platform.  

Refunds are possible until 14 November 2022. Notification of cancellation must be made by email to registration@idf.org. A cancellation fee of 50 Euro will be charged. CME credits will not be provided for non-attendance or early termination of attendance.

No, all poster presenters need to be present onsite in Portugal. The online audience, however, can also view the posters.

The fully searchable scientific programme is available online and will be uploaded on the IDF virtual congress platform on 28 November 2022.

It will also be available on the IDF 2022 App.
